Mineral water has grown in popularity over the last few years as more people have become aware of its positive effects. There are a number of different mineral waters on the shelves of your local store, but do you know what real mineral water actually is?
Mineral Water Benefits
Without minerals, our bodies wouldn’t be able to function properly. Minerals aid in growth, development and proper functioning of internal organs, muscles and bones. Unfortunately, many of our foods and drinks are stripped of essential minerals during processing, leaving many Canadians mineral deficient.
Origins
Real mineral water will proudly state where it’s sourced and bottled from. For example, Royal Mineral Water sources all of our water from the High Tatras Mountains. Crown Magnesia mineral water flows 577-feet underground and retains its unique mineralization and natural carbonation as a result of the hydrogeological mountain range structure.
Our Crown Suliner source spring is surrounded by prehistoric clay stones and sandstone that naturally filters and infuses our water with its beneficial minerals. We access the aquifer 330-feet underground and bottle right at the source, capturing and preserving its natural carbonation. This special spring has been celebrated for centuries and is known as the “healing water source” throughout Slovakia.
Real Mineral Water vs. Mineralized Water
Many mineral waters claim to be real mineral water but are actually mineralized by the companies who bottle them, meaning they are artificially enriched with minerals after they’re sourced. Real mineral water is naturally infused with minerals found deep within its source and is bottled without any chemical alteration or artificial filtration.
Royal Mineral Water sources all our water from natural springs, located in protected areas in the High Tatras Mountains. You can find us in many fine locations across Canada—check for a location close to you!
