What is Natural Carbonation?
When mineral springs are deep enough, carbonic acid permeates the water and creates natural carbonation. Many underground springs are carbonated, but as the water bubbles to the surface, the natural effervescence is lost. If you bottle straight at the source, as we do for our Crown Suliner and Crown Magnesia water, that natural carbonation can be captured and preserved.

Soft Sparkling Mineral Water
Artificial carbonation creates harsh bubbles that can irritate your throat and stomach—while natural carbonation produces a soft sparkling mineral water. The gentle bubbles enhance the natural flavour of the mineral water without causing irritation. Additionally, it helps aid in digestion and the absorption of minerals.

Did You Know?
Certain mineral water companies advertise natural carbonation, but they’re actually adding CO2 to their products. Some companies source water from naturally carbonated springs, but during the filtering and purifying process, the carbonation is lost. They artificially add back the level of carbonation during the bottling process and are able to call it natural because the original spring was carbonated.
